PRODUCT: Usborne - Pocket Patterns to Colour and Doodle (www.usborne.com)Usborne Pocket Patterns to Colour and Doodle

DESCRIPTION: A 128-page pocket sized paperback book of patterns to colour, doodle and decorate. Size is 140mm x 140mm. Suitable for children aged 6 years upwards.

GOOD POINTS: This is a fabulous little pocket book for older children that is the perfect travel companion at home and on journeys, trips and holidays.

The book is an ideal size for slipping into bags and backpacks, and is packed full of well over one hundred patterns for your child to colour and complete. Furthermfore, each page is of an excellent thick quality to enable your child to colour away to their hearts content using felt-tip pens as well as coloured pencils.

The patterns within the book cover a range of wonderfully detailed geometric patterns, irregular freestyle patterns, nature-inspired patterns and traditional patterns, and include some that are blank for your child to colour as they wish, some that are part-coloured offering colour schemes and backgrounds for your child to follow, and some that are part-patterned for your child to finish off by adding their own doodles and colours.

In addition, the first few pages of the book give some useful hints and tips on colours and colouring techniques, as well as a little information about the pattern designs found within the book.

In our opinion, this is a really inspiring little travel craft book for girls, boys and grown-ups alike that is full of original patterns to stimulate plenty of imagination and creativity.

BAD POINTS: The book does not easily stay open on a page on its own which means your child has to lean on it as they work!
