PRODUCT: Djeco Foil Art Guild the Dragon (www.crafts4kids.co.uk)Djeco Foil Art

DESCRIPTION: A art set for making glittering foil pictures of dragons. Includes 4 x dragon pictures, 15 x sheets of coloured foil and 1 x rub down tool. Suitable for children aged 7 years upwards.

GOOD POINTS: This is a fantastic and very unique art and craft set from Djeco which will particularly appeal to young boys, and enables them to make some amazing foil dragon pictures.

The set comes in a lovely sturdy gift box, with an elastic fastening to keep contents securely inside. There are four A5 good quality card template pictures, each containing a wonderfully detailed 'framed' dragon scene. The templates are part colour, with the remaining white sections on each picture divided into numbered areas. These numbered areas in turn correspond to a variety of coloured foil sheets which come with the set (fifteen in total), as detailed in the accompanying instructions booklet (a little similar to painting by numbers!).

The great feature of this set is that each picture is covered with peel-away sticky layers which correspond to the numbered sections. Following the instruction guide, the idea is to peel off each of the numbered layers in turn, place the correct foil leaf face down on the sticky area, and rub the foil gently using the special plastic tool included. When the sheet is lifted back off, the coloured foil sticks to the picture, giving an effective and very colourful metallic finish!

In our opinion, this is a really creative set which is quite unique in its design, and guaranteed to keep children fully entertained as they create their very own sparkling masterpieces!

BAD POINTS: Written instructions are limited, and it is easy to peel off the wrong parts of the picture. Some of the small areas are quite difficult for a child to peel off themselves, even using the tool.
