PRODUCT: Usborne - Look inside: How computers work ( How computers work

DESCRIPTION: A 14-page hardback book from Usborne Books which introduces young children to computers, with multiple lifting flaps to reveal facts. Written by Alex Frith and illustrated by Colin King. Size of book is 216mm x 192mm. Suitable for children aged 5 years upwards.

GOOD POINTS: This latest wonderful book from the Look inside range by Usborne Books is the perfect way to introduce your child to computer basic! The book is packed full of educational information to engage your child, from the history of computers through to how computers work and basic coding. The book covers the following seven topics:

  • Computers all around
  • Inside a computer
  • How it all works
  • Computers and coding
  • Wired world
  • The first computers
  • Super powered

The book has a durable hardback cover and consists of a number of thick board pages.

Each topic is displayed over a double page, with easy-to-understand facts and brilliantly engaging colour illustrations.

If this isn't enough, each page has loads of flaps for your child to find, open and explore, with even more interesting facts and illustrations hidden inside!

This is, in our opinion, a brilliantly written and presented educational resource, with endless facts to stimulate older as well as younger minds.

BAD POINTS: The flaps may not withstand lots of rough or repeated handling, particularly by younger children.
