GOOD POINTS: The Sticker Atlas of the World by Usborne Books is an impressive and very educational interactive reference book for school-aged children.

It is a large paperback which introduces your child to the various continents of the world using a series of detailed maps. These maps are not overcomplicated, and are colour coded to differentiate between varying terrains and water (e.g. forests, deserts, mountains, seas, lakes etc.), with lines to represent country borders. The names of countries, islands and oceans/seas are labelled.

The maps are full of black and white pictures of famous sights and landmarks. These are not only listed down the side of the page, but also correspond to a series of numbered stickers (140 to be precise) located in the centre of the book - these stickers are not in any order, so matching up the stickers to the maps is not only a fun activity for your child, but is also ideal for testing and reinforcing their basic knowledge of countries together with the landmarks they are famous for.

The book contained lots of useful information on using the atlas and the maps, and includes a contents page, as well as an index with checklist to help your child find the sights in the book (this gives the page as well as sticker numbers). In addition, the back of the book provides very useful pictures of all the world's state flags, along with their capital cities, and also interesting facts on world records, e.g. highest mountains, longest rivers, tallest buildings etc.

In our opinion, this is a truly fantastic (and reasonably priced) sticker-based reference book, that teaches young children about the most famous sights in the world in a fun, interesting and educational way...definitely a book to make learning fun!

BAD POINTS: None that we can find!
