PRODUCT: Fisher-Price Little People Racin' Ramps Garage (www.fisher-price.com)Fisher-Price Racin Ramps Garage

DESCRIPTION: An interactive plastic garage playset, with three storey circular ramp, elevator with mechanical bell, petrol pump, air hose, and moving stop sign. Includes 2 x figures, 1 x car and 1 x tow truck. Tow truck requires 2 x AA batteries (included). Dimensions of garage when standing are 40.5 x 41 x 24cm. Suitable for children aged 12 months upwards.

ASSEMBLY: The toy requires some simple assembly before it can be used, and comes with detailed and easy-to-follow instructions (with diagrams) explaining how to assemble the garage. Twelve screws are included which are required to fasten the various columns, posts, floor supports and handle together. A Phillips screwdriver (not included) will be required to do this.

GOOD POINTS: This Fisher-Price garage is a wonderfully simple playset that young children will love. It is simple to assemble using the instructions provided, and is a sturdy plastic design that will easily withstand the rigours of child play.

The garage is a fairly large three storey structure, with two floors to explore, a large spiral ramp for cars to race down from top to base, and a lift to take the cars back up to the top again. An additional feature is the chunky built-in handle on the top of the garage to allow for easy transportation.

The garage is bright and colourful, with lots of interactive features to keep your child fully stimulated. The car lift is raised and lowered manually via a green lever on the side, and is fitted with a mechanical bell that 'dings' when it reaches the top. A stop sign at the bottom of the lift can also be moved up and down to show when the lift is in use. Your child will have great fun spinning the cylindrical air hose round and round, as well as filling up their cars at the gas pump using the flexible petrol hose, and twisting the 'clicking' flags on either side of the handle.

The garage additionally includes two chunky freewheel vehicles, complete with detailed detachable characters - one is a yellow and orange tow truck with mechanic, while the other is a blue car with driver. The car can be hooked onto the back of the tow truck for your child to pull along, and pushing down on the mechanic's head activates several car engine and horn noises. These sounds are battery operated, and batteries can be replaced via a compartment on the underside of the tow truck (a screwdriver will be required).

In our opinion, this is a durable playset with lots of colours and interactive features to provide young children with plenty of sensory stimulation, motor skill development, and fun role play.

BAD POINTS: The car lift is quite stiff to move, and may be difficult for a young child to operate on their own. Only two cars are provided, although your child will no doubt have other cars in their collection that they can use with the garage.
