PRODUCT: LEGO Star Wars Imperial V-wing Starfighter ( Star Wars Imperial V-wing Starfighter

DESCRIPTION: A LEGO construction set from the Star Wars range, which includes a buildable starfighter battle craft with working cockpit and rotating wings, 2 x minifigure LEGO Star Wars characters, stickers and instructions. Contains 139 pieces. Dimensions of the starfighter are approx. 5" (12cm) wide and 9" (22cm) long. Suitable for children aged 7 years upwards.

GOOD POINTS: The Imperial V-wing Starfighter is a great little spaceship from the LEGO Star Wars range, that will appeal to any young fans of the films on which it is based.

The starfighter, employed to hunt down the Rebel Alliance, became one of the first battle crafts of the growing empire following the fall of the Galactic Republic at the end of the Clone Wars.

The set includes all the parts and accessories to build a neat little black and grey fighter, and the accompanying instructions booklet provides your child with easy-to-follow diagrams on how to assemble the model. Two exclusive LEGO minifigures are included - an Imperial Pilot and an Astromech droid R2-Q2. The two figures have some great body detailing, and the pilot is kitted out with helmet and blaster weapon.

LEGO Star Wars Imperial V-wing StarfighterThe Starfighter is fun to build, and has a striking design encompassing laser cannons, thrusters, and sticker detailing. In addition, the battle craft has some great features to maximise on interactive play...and attack!

The main feature is the starfighter's wings. These wings not only tilt in and out, but also rotate round from a horizontal 'flying' attack mode to a vertical 'landing' mode, in which the fighter is able to support itself. A large clear circular piece on the underside of the fighter also helps it to stand...and additionally provides a handy grip for your child to fly it round! The cockpit screen of the fighter can be flipped open to enable the pilot minifigure to be placed inside, and the back end of the ship opens up in two halves to expose a place for the droid (or at least its head) to be positioned.

In all, a nice little LEGO build with lots of detail and great features to enhance playability...let the battle begin!

BAD POINTS: The set is quite expensive, but does include lots of pieces. The starfighter cannot accommodate the whole droid, only it's head. As with any such type of product, there are many tiny parts which are prone to being lost over time.
