PRODUCT: Spin Master Bakugan Gundalian Invaders 'Airkor' BattleBakugan Battle Gear Airkor Gear (

DESCRIPTION: One of the battle gears from the third Japanese anime series Bakugan Gundalian Invaders that belongs to Dharak and can be attached to Bakugan as part of the Bakugan trading card game. Contains 1 x Bakugan Battle Gear, 1 x Ability Card and 1 x Metal Gate Card. Suitable for children aged 5 years upwards.

GOOD POINTS: Fast becoming the hottest topic of conversation among school children everywhere (particularly boys), Bakugan is a hugely popular strategic trading card game based on the original Japanese anime series Bakugan Battle Brawlers (and its subsequent series).

The game is sold by way of collectible Bakugan packs, containing metal cards and magnetic spring-loaded miniature figures which fold up into compact spherical balls and represent the various Bakugan characters (and there are loads of them!).

The metal Gate Card forms the playing surface for the game and is simply a card containing a magnetic plate which activates the Bakugan to 'explode' or rather pop open into their warrior stance when rolled onto it. These Gate Cards are what the Bakugan 'battle' for, and are colour coded (gold, silver or copper) with varying G-Power boosts (G-Power being the basic measure of a Bakugan's power level) as well as special abilities. The main objective of the standard two-player game is to capture three of the opponent's Gate Cards. A 'battle' is one Bakugan against another, and happens whenever Bakugan from two different players end up on the same Gate card. The Bakugan's G-Power, Ability Cards (colour coded instructional cards which can effect/change gameplay) and Gate Card are summed to determine which is the battle's winner. The player who wins the battle wins the Gate Card!

The Battle Gear allows your child to 'weaponize' their Bakugan, and each has one of three coloured symbols imprinted on it (Gold, Silver or Copper) which match the colours of the Gate Cards and can be used together to the player's advantage.

The Airkor Battle Gear is copper, green and black in appearance, and is compact and sturdy. It allows Dharak to 'fly' or hover using its metal wings which provide extra armour against attack, and it can discharge super giant energy bolts and bright green light balls to zap opponents! The Battle Gear can be placed on the back of the Bakugan to open it, or can be placed on the Gate Card next to your Bakugan. The G-Power of the Battle Gear is then added to the Bakugan in battle.

In our opinion, this Airkor Battle Gear, along with the entire range of Battle Gear, adds a fantastic additional dimension to the popular Bakugan game and will be a definite must-have among serious Bakugan battle addicts!

BAD POINTS: Your child will naturally want to add to their Bakugan collection, which over time could make this quite an expensive game.

PRICE: Approx. £5.99 each
