Skyhigh 8ft Trampoline

DESCRIPTION: A round 8ft trampoline with safety enclosure, featuring weldless T Bar and fully galvanised steel frame, 48 high performance springs measuring 165mm each, and extra safe 21mm thick padsMax. weight is 100kg (16 stone); frame height is 0.75m. Skyhigh round trampolines also available in 10ft, 12ft and 14ft sizes. Includes 10 year frame warranty.

ASSEMBLY: The trampoline requires assembly prior to use, and includes a detailed instructions manual which provides a step-by-step guide for each stage of assembly. The 'build' is fairly easy to complete but will require two people, and gloves are recommended to avoid pinching your fingers. In brief, the main frame needs to be first assembled by sliding the top rail tubing sections together using special T-section joints, onto which the leg tubes and W-shape tubes are then fitted. The trampoline mat is attached via spring hooks to the inside of the frame using a handy spring loading tool, and the frame pad is then fitted over the springs and frame to ensure all metal parts are covered. The safety enclosure is assembled by connecting the padded support poles into the trampoline legs using the screws, bolts, washers and spacers provided, and then strapping the top of the safety net to the poles and the bottom of the net to the trampoline mat.

GOOD POINTS: Following the fairly straightforward assembly the trampoline should be up and ready to go. The metal components of the trampoline (the frame and springs) are made out of galvanised steel ensuring that it will last outside despite the best efforts of the British weather and importantly the frame has no welding (so no welds to fail under duress), adding an extra level of safety to the design.

Skyhigh 8ft TrampolineThe material used for the padding (to protect users from the springs) is woven polypropylene with incorporated UV protection and water drainage, and houses significant padding (21mm thick) to ensure that no injuries can occur even if someone was to fall on the springs.

The enclosure provides excellent protection for smaller more adventurous users and prevents them falling off the edge. In addition, really effective locking clips fasten across the access doorway to keep children safely enclosed when the trampoline is in use. There is no doubt in our minds that Skyhigh have put a lot of thought and effort into the design to ensure that the product both lasts and protects users.

The trampoline is rated up to 100Kg (16 stone) meaning that children and even most adults can enjoy playing on the trampoline - great if you have competitive children (or other adult family members!). This is the smallest of the Skyhigh trampolines to cater for smaller outdoor spaces, and its neutral colours mean that it blends in well with the rest of the garden (not a dayglo eyesore!). In use, the trampoline mat is well supported by the springs and provides plenty of bounce for any sized user.

As trampolines go this is, in our opinion, an excellent trampoline for the price, with the safety features required to ensure users safety and a build quality that should outlast the attentions of even the most dedicated little bouncers!

BAD POINTS: Despite being the smallest of the trampoline sizes, it still requires a large space for construction and use, and is therefore not suitable for those short on garden space. As discussed there is a degree of assembly meaning that any little audience is going to have to wait before they can bounce!
